Along with my other artistic interests, my photography started about ten years ago. I first made the most of point-and-shoot cameras, but always tried to find interesting angles and subjects. In 2000, I acquired a fully manual camera (Asahi Pentax K-1000) with a basic 50mm lens. After a few years of experimenting, I focused on astrophotography. This is where I learned to roll new film, the use of long exposure, film developing, and print developing. A couple years later, I refreshed myself in the basics and also was given some guidence to find a more focused, creative look when photographing projects.
